The major gateway of all Silicon Valley data peering, Market Post Tower is located in the heart of downtown San Jose, California. Virtually all of the surrounding San Francisco Bay Area NAPs and Data Centers connect to Market Post Tower via high-speed local fiber rings. With 70% of internet traffic from the Western United States and 40% of the world internet traffic passing through the building, Market Post Tower truly is a nexus of international data routing

Engineered to provide complete redundancy in power and network connectivity, it is an excellent datacenter location. The building itself enables the datacenter to bring in 25 carriers quickly and easily. Market Post Tower provides users with tremendous connectivity opportunities. The Market Post Tower tenant roster includes telecommunications and Internet access companies in a wide range of sectors and geographic regions around the world. The building offers three diverse points of entry with plans in development to increase points of entry for further diversity.

Market Post Tower has dual 12KV PG&E feeders serving the facility. Power is delivered via a central core power riser to each floor by means of a central conduit riser system. Power allocated is based on the tenant's actual demonstrated loads. Typical power allocation is approximately 40 watts per sq. ft. expandable to 80 watts per sq. ft. The building is equipped with a total of 6 emergency and backup generators. These range from a 150KW to a 2,000KW unit. Power for all technical space environments is provided via automatic transfer switches that will seamlessly transfer power from our utility provider to our backup generators in a matter of seconds.

Power is distributed to the various floors through a centralized conduit riser system. An additional 2000 KW generator will be added as demand increases. Market Post Tower has fuel storage capacity to supply power for a minimum of 24 hours with contracts in place to provide a continuance fuel supply to carry systems through any kind of service interruption. The building has installed a new, fully redundant, roof mounted, 1,500-ton cooling tower, redundant pumps and condenser water piping system to service a number of the technical space floors.

All data center space is provided with Liebert computer room air conditioners sized to fully condition the spaces to match power demand.

Electrical Capacity

Typical power allocation is approximately 40 watts per sq. ft. expandable to 80 watts per sq. ft.
Each cabinet and 4' x 6' cage receives a 110 volt, 20 amp circuit.
Main power is 480 volt, 3 phase.

Security

Manned, on-site security is present 24/7/365.
Keycard system is in place for after-hours building entry and floor access.

Primary Power

480 volt, 3-phase power delivered to the central power riser on each floor via a conduit riser system.
Power allocated is based on the tenant's actual demonstrated loads.
Typical power allocation is 80 watts per sq. ft.in suite 1070 and 1090 data centers.

Fire Suppression

Pre-action fire suppression systems have been installed in all building technical spaces.
FM-200 system can be installed if required.

HVAC Cooling

The Landlord is installing a new, fully redundant, 1,500-ton condenser water system with tenant tap-ins pre-installed in one of the wet risers on each floor.
